Comments: After months of arm and shoulder pain and going through various therapies to address it, I found out I had a herniated disc in my neck. Once this was pinpointed through an MRI, I was discussing neck surgery with Dr. Johnson - something I had not even contemplated! He was very personable and compassionate, understanding my concern being a very active person and wanting to continue enjoying tennis, hiking, skiing, etc. He spent a good amount of time looking at my MRI, discussing options, and answering my many questions. After receiving a second opinion (which confirmed Dr. Johnson's), I proceeded ASAP with artificial disc replacement surgery, a minimally invasive procedure. I'm happy to say that just under three weeks post-op, I am pain free! I'm now able to return to normal activities. I'm truly amazed and grateful to him and to the staff at SCOS and Saddleback Surgery Center. All the nurses were also so caring and competent. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson and SCOS!
